Overview: Join us for an engaging session, as part of the Community Foundation for Loudoun and Northern Fauquier Counties’ Racial Equity Framework program series, designed to help nonprofit organizations strengthen their commitment to inclusivity and expand their reach. This session will provide nonprofit leaders, staff, and volunteers with practical skills and knowledge to create accessible and inclusive workplaces, programs, services, and online experiences that serve diverse communities, including individuals with disabilities.
Who Should Attend:
This workshop is ideal for nonprofit executives, board members, program managers, communications specialists, human resources staff, event coordinators, and anyone involved in your organization’s outreach and community engagement.

Winners of the Loudoun County Disability Services Board’s 2023 Full Accessibility and Inclusion: Moving toward Equity (FAIME) Awards were recognized by the Board of Supervisors following their proclamation of October as Disability Employment Awareness Month.
Lori Daly, Chair of the DSB, presented the awards to Custom Software Systems, Inova Loudoun Hospital and Janelia Research Campus.
Lori Daly was honored to take part in the Loudoun County's Board of Supervisors' proclamation of Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Awareness Day July 26, 2023.
The ADA, an historic piece of civil rights legislation signed into law in 1990, prohibits discrimination against people with disabilities in areas such as employment, transportation, public accommodations, communications, and access to state and local government programs and services.

The Loudoun County Disability Services Board presented its 2021 FAIME—Full Accessibility and Inclusion: Moving toward Equity—Awards to nine local businesses that have demonstrated a commitment to hiring people with disabilities and providing them with opportunities to develop their skills and career in an inclusive work environment.
The 2021 honorees, who received their awards February 25, 2022, are: Falcon Heating & Air Conditioning, Sterling Harris Teeter, Aldie Home Depot, Leesburg Home Goods, Ashburn Lansdowne Resort, Leesburg Salamander Resort & Spa, Middleburg Walgreens, Leesburg and Sterling Wegmans Food Markets.
The Disability Services Board is an at-large advisory body appointed by the Board of Supervisors to identify and advise county leaders on issues of importance to people with disabilities, their families and caregivers to help make Loudoun County an accessible and inclusive community.
