Supervisor Glass of the Loudoun County Board of Supervisors proclaimed October National Disability Awareness Month (NDEAM) and recognized two local businesses -- SimplyBe Coffee and A Farm Less Ordinary -- for their contributions extending employment opportunities to people with disabilities during NDEAM.

National Disability Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM) is recognized every October in the U.S.  Led by the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Disability Employment Policy, NDEAM celebrates the contributions of America’s workers with disabilities and emphasize the importance of an inclusive workplace.

This year’s NDEAM theme is “Disability: Part of the Equity Equation,” which recognizes the vital role people with disabilities play in making the nation's workforce diverse and inclusive.

Not only does Loudoun County's disability community strengthen the local workforce, but also plays an integral role in the continuity of the community’s economic success.
